The Pie Factory Podcast gang opens the first episode of 2017 with some tender-lovin’ discussion of two of everybody’s favorite arcade games. Or maybe not EVERYBODY’s, I mean…whose favorite game is Mouse Trap? Maybe not yours, but…maybe someone’s?? I don’t know. Perhaps the episode will end with a huge honkin’ explosion.
Episode 45: Rethinking the 5s
In a very special Pie Factory Podcast, Sean and Jim speak openly and frankly about the games they both rated 5 Continues, with the help of longtime featherless biped Ferg. ‘Swonderful. ‘Smarvelous. ‘Sthe final episode of 2016. What will 2017 have in store?
Episode 44: Dig Dug and Pac-Mania
Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside-down, and I’d like to take a minute – just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Pie Factory Podcast. Never gonna dig you up, never gonna Pac you down.
Episode 43: Track & Field and Arch Rivals
“Christmas without presents is like Thanksgiving without pizza.” — Kelly Bundy
What better way to simulate Thanksgiving dinner than to play a basketball game that allows you to beat the living daylights out of your opponent?
Gobble, gobble.
Episode 42: Nibbler and Rescue
By surprisingly (and tragically) popular demand, we present to you the Pie Factory Podcast episode that will hopefully provide you with the answer to life, the universe, and everything. (Gee, didn’t see that coming, did you?) We hope the Master will approve.
Episode 41: Home Consoles III
The Great Pumpkin has found your sincere pumpkin patch, delivering you another heartwarming Pie Factory Podcast! Sean and Jim break from the usual arcade talk and have a special guest join them once again for a talk about console gaming, this time about what Ninten-don’t.
Episode 40: Stratovox and Space Invaders
…or is it Space Invaders and Stratovox? *sigh* the world may never know. But that’s okay because maybe the world will be taken over by space invaders and all of our astronauts will be kidnapped before we can prevent that from happening. Wait, was I supposed to write that??
Episode 39: Bagman and Sinistar
Celebrating the release of Ron Howard’s documentary of The Beatles’ touring years, Jim and Sean bring you their classic, internationally lauded musings on two well-known classics of days of yore. (Or is it days of Eeyore? Days of you’re? Days..oh, screw it; back in the Ferg.)
Episode 38: Do! Run Run and Timber
Just like the trees in Timber, the latest Pie Factory Podcast episode drops. (See what I did there?) And along with that, so does this poster’s ability to come up with some kind of witty way to announce the show’s release. Enjoy! Or, perhaps, don’t enjoy — the choice is yours: it’s a free country.
On a serious note…at the very beginning of the episode, Jim and Sean briefly discuss a topic they both take very seriously, and as such, felt that certain language that normally would be bleeped should be left in untouched or else it would diminish the seriousness of the message. This is a one-time occurrence. After that, the rest of the show is its usual self.
Episode 37: Gorf and Professor Pac-Man
Spelled backwards, the first game is “froG.” Spelled any way you want, the second game is obviously Sean’s favorite video game ever in the history of gaming. Oh…and did we say…contest?? That’s right — the winner of the Charles Nelson Reilly Contest is announced! Where else but Pie Factory Podcast?
